Mike Navarre
Senior Consultant

Mike Navarre has a deep desire to grow as a person and a leader, and he’s successfully shared that passion and inspired outstanding performance in others throughout his career as an educator, coach and developer of leaders.

As a member of WCW Partners, Mike’s area of emphasis is leadership development. His greatest thrill is watching others improve their productivity, and he’s most proud of helping and supporting people’s personal and professional growth – the right stuff for his role as a personal and executive coach.

One of Mike’s specialties is the Strength Deployment Inventory® (SDI), a self-awareness tool that helps clients improve relationships and manage conflict.  It is particularly useful in leadership development and team-building, where Mike’s expertise and experience really shine.

As head coach of the women’s soccer team for Augsburg College, Minneapolis, Minnesota, since 1999, Mike has built the program into one of the best in the Midwest and the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.  With Mike at the helm, his players have consistently achieved excellence on the field and in the classroom, and are inspired to use what they’ve learned to better their communities and the nation once they launch their careers.

Mike is also an instructor at the school, and is nearing the completion of a Ph.D. in sport psychology.  His doctoral research focuses on the importance of coach-athlete and teammate relationships on an athlete’s performance and sport experience, including leadership preferences. This insight helps Mike foster positive chemistry within groups and work with his clients to build effective interpersonal leadership and relational skills with men and women.

Prior to his head coaching responsibilities, Mike served as a graduate assistant for the prestigious women’s soccer program at the University of North Carolina – national champions and runners-up during his years there.

In addition, Mike has been heavily involved as a coach in Minnesota youth sports, including the Minnesota Olympic Development Program.

With the many achievements he could point to, Mike still rates peace of mind and the courage to “follow my bliss” as the top.

When he’s not coaching or consulting, Mike enjoys spending time with the person he most admires, his wife Marta and their 2 children and friends.  Mike’s hobbies include playing hockey, reading, and traveling.
