Pumping the Colors

– One day can make all the difference

What are the challenges to your organization working together as a great team?  At the heart of any successful organization is great team work.  Great team work is not an accident.

Pumping the Colors is a day-long simulation exercise that gives participants practical insights that apply to real world team environments.  Whether you want to get a new team off to a solid start, introduce the team concept to your organization, or even “fix” an established team with conflict or problems, Pumping the Colors is a fun and challenging day that can help inspire and implement dynamic team work.

Organizations with great team work throughout find employees inspired to innovation and excellence.

Pumping the Colors also provides an excellent opportunity for individuals to develop leadership and management skills.  Strengthening a team that is passionate about continuous learning is another benefit of the Pumping the Colors experience.

What is “Pumping the Colors”? Groups of six to ten participants are given a complicated task to perform – to build a colored fluid transportation system – in a given timeframe. The mission’s success is dependent on the team finding ways to solve problems and develop a plan.

RESULTS:  Pumping the Colors encourages team members to find ways to work together that capitalize on their individual strengths and abilities. The simulation requires creativity, risk-taking, cooperation, organization and planning, and enables team members to see the improvement opportunities in their current team and develop strategies to address them. Everyone wins, including the organization.
